Four Foods on Friday Meme

I totally love this meme -- easy as pie, and I'm getting back in the soup this week. Think I'm nuts? Nah, it's just the Four Foods on Friday meme from Val at Fun, Crafts and Recipes. AND another good thing, doing this meme, I'm entered in the contest to win a CHOCOLATE COOKBOOK she's having over there. Go check it out! Okay. Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. What’s your favorite potato chip?
My favorite is the Cajun Dill flavor or Cajun Crawtators by Zapp's, a little chippery in Gramercy, LA. They're thick cut, spicy and seriously crunchy. Do not attempt to talk on the phone while eating Zapp's. I'm just saying. Poo-yie, that's good.

#2. Do you use butter, margarine, both or neither?
I use both, depending on what I'm cooking or eating. Butter does well baking, or wherever I need some richness. If I'm dressing broccoli or other veggies, a little margarine does better than butter with my lemon, at least it makes me feel a bit healthier! (Of course, a mix of soy sauce, garlic and lemon make me feel completely virtuous with my broccoli!)

#3. What’s your favorite mixed alcoholic (or virgin) drink?
Oh, boy, asking me to pick... again, depends on the application. Love love a margarita, or a mojito, or a black russian.

#4. What’s your favorite vegetable and how do you prepare it?
My all-time favorite vegetable is an artichoke, and I just do the tip and choke-ectomy, rinse it with cool water, rub with half a lemon and wrap in plastic wrap to microwave, three minutes and flip, two minutes. After it cools, I serve with a dip of olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, Lea & Perrins, a pinch of oregano and basil. Yummmmmm. Could make that a meal.

There you have it, my contribution to this week's Four Foods on Friday meme. Do yourself a favor and check out all the scrumptious stuff on Fun, Crafts and Recipes, and don't forget to enter the February Chocolate Cookbook contest!
