Much to his chagrin, the wounded soldier must return to second grade tomorrow -- awwwww! Just in time to present his awesome Social Studies poster on Kenya, including how to say hello in Swahili: "Jambo!" and just in time for Easter Egg hunting and cute cupcake eating. Oh, speaking of cute cupcakes... take a gander at these little beauties!!!
Yes, indeedy, there are bunnies and chickies going to school with the boy in the morning. I made THE MOST of a jelly bean high, cut up marshmallows and squished them into bunny ears and cheeks on some, stuck yellow and purple peeps on top with chocolate eggs on others (the picture of the chickies came out a tad blurry -- this was well into the sugar rush...) and only put three medium-sized plops of dyed-green icing onto my good black pants. Yeah well, I am prepared to do even crafty sugary Eastery cupcakes to win favors for my child. I'm not above a little bunny nosing for a small boy, who informed me tonight between drawing pictures of elves and Saphira, the dragon from Eragon, (with my stash of skinny markers I thought I'd hidden well enough) that he would do anything in the world rather than return to school. Ah. Too bad, young Hole-Foot. There are bunnies and chickies to deliver.
