And so Friday's weekend celebration begins with a luscious, creamy, deep dark devil's food kinda Four Foods on Friday meme. Chocolate, I say! Brought to you as always by Val of Fun, Crafts and Recipes.
Here are this week’s four questions.
#1. What’s your favorite beverage containing chocolate or chocolate flavoring?
I love a good old fashioned chocolate milk shake. Mom made them for us in the blender when we were growing up. Yum. Nestle's Quik, and egg, vanilla ice cream and milk. In later years, I've been known to experiment while drinking diet soft drinks. The first one I found was Canfield's diet chocolate. Tastes like a Tootsie Roll in a can. Got me thru some serious Weight Watchers days.
#2. What’s your favorite chocolate bar? OR Share a pic of your favorite candy, chocolate or otherwise.
Two favorites -- either Tootsie Rolls, or $100,000 Bar. Oh, or Heavenly Hash Eggs around Easter. Or Rolos. Okay, that's way more than two. Never met a chocolate candy I didn't like?
#3. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten that had chocolate in it?
Either mole sauce (which was more muddy than really good, I thought,) or chocolate croissants for breakfast in Paris, which I immediately imprinted on and miss terribly. Not sure whether it is the actual chocolate croissant or breakfast in Paris.. Yum yum yummm.
#4. Share a recipe using chocolate.
I found this one on Nestle's Very Best Baking site. French Chocolate Cheesecake, divine! If you want, skip the caramel sauce and crown with whole strawbewrries drizzled with semi-sweet chocolate! That's what I'm planning...
