I love love Doodle Week, and today's theme is Doodle Vacation. Now, instead of doodling a beach chair on a sun swept emerald shore somewhere, I've depicted a familiar scene from my childhood: the annual family trek to parts exotic, or at least as exotic as reachable by station wagon. Note my mother's festive sunhat, and my father's attitude, slunk behind the wheel, awaiting further directions from the sunhatted one. Between them sits my baby sister, who tended to get carsick. Her place would be rotated into by the kid who misbehaved first and worst.
