It's that time of the week once more, and I've been so yakky I almost forgot -- it's Four Foods on Friday from Fun, Crafts and Recipes. This week's questions relate to food on the road...
#1. If you could travel anywhere to have a meal, where would you want to go and what would you want to eat.
I'd go back to Paris, and to a restaurant where we had dinner, Le Grand Colbert. I recognized it again in the movie Something's Gotta Give. It was an amazing place and an amazing meal.
#2. When you go away do you make your own meals or eat out?
Depends on where we go, and it is usually half and half, if we've got facilities.
#3. While traveling if you have to stop for a meal do you go in or do you go through the drive thru and eat in the car?
Again, depends. If my hubby is driving, he is usually wanting to get where we're going, so it's napkins in the car. If I'm driving, we may stop at a more-interesting- than-fast-food place and take a little break.
#4. Share a recipe or food related tip for people making a long trip by car.
Keep an ice chest and snack bag in the back seat at all times! Load it with good stuff like fruit, cheese sticks, your favorite granola and those itsy bitsy carrots. Kids can get really really quiet dipping tiny pretzels into peanut butter. Just check every so often that nothing (and no ONE) is getting smeared that shouldn't be.
